I'm Tano Tijerina—a husband, father, and follower of Christ.

South Texas raised me. Every lesson I have learned about faith, family, hard work, and never giving up came from the people here. I am running for Congress because our community deserves someone who knows our struggles, shares our values, and will fight for it like family.

This election is not about politics. It is about people. It is about parents trying to provide, children trying to chase their dreams, and families who want to feel safe and secure. For years, our district has had a member of Congress who has grown too comfortable in Washington while families here struggle, and now he is facing serious federal corruption accusations that have shaken the trust of the people he is supposed to serve.

Congressman Cuellar has chosen himself and Washington.
I choose South Texas.

My roots are here. My values were shaped by the same South Texas families who built this community. And I will never put personal gain or Washington politics above the people who raised me. South Texas deserves better, and it is time for a Congressman who will fight for us with integrity and with everything he has.

As Webb County Judge, I earned a reputation for being hands on, forward thinking, and tireless in my work to strengthen our region. From improving infrastructure to supporting law enforcement to expanding opportunities for young people, I focused on building a better future for the next generation. I’ll do the same in Congress.

I have always believed that if you love somewhere, you serve it. And I love South Texas with everything I have. My wife and I have deep roots in Laredo and it’s where we chose to raise our kids, work alongside local families, and give back to our community. This campaign is about faith. It is about family. It is about fighting for the place we call home.

I am proud of where I come from and I am ready to give everything I have to make sure South Texas has the voice it deserves in Washington
